How to set up your swissmail.org account with your Android device

You will need the following information to setup your swissmail.org email account:

  • Your Incoming Mail Server (POP/IMAP) and Server Port Number

  • Your Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) and Server Port Number

  • Your email login name (user name/account name)

  • Your email address

You will find the necessary information by accessing your account via our WebSite at www.swissmail.org. To get your account specific information, log into your account, click on the ControlCenter button, click on "Accountdata" in the left hand navigation menu and scroll down to "Mailbox (POP3/IMAP) access settings".

Now you are ready to get started!

From the Home screen, tap the gray Application button.

Use the keyboard to enter full email address and your password, then tap Next

Use IMAP if possible. Imap synchronzes emails between your Android and our servers and allows you to access folders on our servers. Whereas POP3 downloads all emails to your Android device and deletes the emails on our servers. Folders on our servers can not be accessed.

Enter the necessary information for the incoming server.

Username: Verify your username on our website. Log into your account on swissmail.org, select "Controlcenter" and then "Accountdata" at the left.

Password: Be aware that the password is case sensitive.

Server and Port: 

Secure settings (encrypted access):  Unsecure settings (no encryption):
Incoming Secure Mail (IMAP with SSL) Server:
secure.swissmail.org; Port 993		 Incoming Mail (IMAP)Server:
pop.dombox.com; Port 143
Incoming Secure Mail (POP3 with SSL) Server:
secure.swissmail.org; Port 995		 Incoming Mail (POP3)Server:

Use secure connection (SSL): select this option only if you have chosen the secure IMAP/POP mail server. Please note that SSL will be used in any case. If no SSL connection can be established no connection at all will be established.
Enter the necessary information for the ougoing server according to the information you entered for the incoming server.

Setup Email

Give this account a name (optional): Enter anything you want.

Your name: This is the name which shows up as "Sender Address" next to your email address.

Congratulation! The setup is done!
