Congratulations,
you have successfully set up your BlackBerry to handle
your e-mail! BlackBerry® Internet Service (BIS) will automatically check for new email approximately every 15 minutes. Note: If you couldn't enter the Ports manually and your account doesn't work, than please proceed as follows: Once an email account is integrated, the Port is set and cannot be edited. To change it, you must delete and re-create the BIS conduit for that account. Follow the steps again accordingly to our despriction and when it comes to the step you see above use your valid email address but an invalid password (enter the same invalid password in both "Password" and "Confirm password" sections). Doing so will bring you into the advanced integration screens which provides you with the ability to configure the ports. A screen will show up where you have to enter the following information: Email Server: secure.swissmail.org Port Number: 993 Email Address: testaccount@swissmail.org User Name: testaccount45 Password: ***** (the correct one) Re-Enter Password: ***** (the correct one) X Leave messages on server.* X Use SSL** * Select the option only if you have chosen the IMAP mail server. ** Select the option only if you have chosen the secure IMAP/POP mail server. Please note that SSL will be used in any case.
