How to set up your account on Thunderbird 3.0.3.
You will need the following information to setup your email account:

You will find the necessary information by accessing your account via our WebSite at To get your account specific information, log into your account, click on the ControlCenter button, click on "Accountdata" in the left hand navigation menu and scroll down to "Mailbox (POP3/IMAP) access settings".

Now you are ready to get started!


After starting Thunderbird 3.0.3, this window will pop-up automatically (click Create a new account if not).

Enter the necessary information.

Your Name: This name will appear next to your email address when sending an email.

Email address: Your email address.

Password: Case sensitive.


Thunderbird will enter (as shown below) the settings automatically. Click on the Edit button

Enter your prefered settings and then click on Re-test Configuration.

Use IMAP if possible. Imap synchronizes emails between Thunderbird and our servers and allows you to access folders on our servers. Whereas POP3 downloads all emails to Thunderbird and deletes the emails on our servers. Folders on our servers can not be accessed.

Username: Verify your username on our website. Log into your account on, select "Controlcenter" and then "Accountdata" at the left.

Secure settings (encrypted access): Unsecure settings (no encryption):

Use secure connection (SSL/TLS): select this option only if you have chosen the secure IMAP/POP mail server. Please note that SSL will be used in any case. If no SSL connection can be established no connection at all will be established.

Click on the Re-test-Configuration button.


Now the window should show all your selected/entered settings. Click on the Create Accountbutton.

Congratulation! The setup of your email account has been successful.
